In order to complete the plunger, we need 3/4'' diameter aluminum rod and a solenoid, which are not provided in the kit. We have decided on the type of solenoid we need (shown below) and a supplier for the solenoid, and will soon place the order. We are still looking for a supplier for the aluminum rod.

We recently finished MS6 which includes the solid model of our MCM, the drawings for all parts of the MCM, the bill of materials, and the step-by-step manufacturing plan. The MCM, or plunger, is a very complex design and will require advanced manufacturing skills. In order to machine the bottom two pieces of the plunger, we will first waterjet the main shape; then drill the center hole; then mount it in a lathe and cut down to shape., it should be very fun to make such a very unique part.
