Our strategy is to get the two balls at the front of the table into our goal as fast as possible and block the other team’s goal. Ideally, we will score the two balls and block the opponent’s hole before they have scored. This will give us quick, easy points and distract the opponent from their intended strategy, making it more difficult for them to score.  

Our machine concept has six wheels with very good traction. There is one arm, that can be removed and put on either side of the robot, capable of “bulldozing” balls. The arm is shaped such that the balls are trapped once they are bulldozed. The body of the robot is rectangular shaped with a hole in the center. There is a a defense mechanism, or “plunger,” in the center of the robot, secured with a solenoid, which when triggered, drops through the hole in the body of the robot. This plunger is shaped so that when it is dropped into the hole on the table, it catches on the edges of the hole.
